Plants our Garden - Helping all Live Healthy
April
1, 2012 - On April 21 at 10 am, the Westwood Ambulance Corp
will be hosting an edible landscaping workshop open to the public. At
the workshop, people can help plant the new edible forest garden
adjacent to the ambulance building. Edible forest gardens mimic
the structure of forests, but are made up of solely edible, medicinal,
and useful plants.

This
exciting new garden will not only provide an example of sustainable
food production, it will also beautify the landscape, decrease water
use for the landscape, and increase soil fertility, community
awareness, and biodiversity. Some
of the low maintenance food producing plants that will be planted on
April 21 include Asian Pear trees, Pawpaw trees, Currants,
Gooseberries, Blueberries, Elderberries, Beach plums, Strawberries,
Echinacea, Anise Hyssop, and more.
Please come and participate in this fun and historic event.

Timothy Frantin Does Damage and Then Repairs Damage

January 13,
2012 - "Throwing 12 consecutive strikes
is something few bowlers get to experience. A 300 game is something
few bowlers do even once in their lives. Tim Frantin already has
reached that milestone twice.
But the Pascack Valley senior doesn’t
hesitate when asked which of his perfect games was the highlight of
his life. The answer is neither. Frantin is more proud of being an
emergency medical technician."
