The mission of the Westwood Volunteer Ambulance Corps is to render ambulance (emergency medical) service to the residents of the Borough of Westwood and to provide emergency transportation and aid for those injured within the Borough. Our mission is to also render mutual aid and assist other towns in emergency situations as may be requested by our neighboring communities. Through these and other similar activities, the WVAC pledges to promote the general welfare and good of the residents of Westwood.
In 2012, the WVAC responded to 853 911-emergencies in Westwood and surrounding towns. Without the help of the corps’ loyal volunteers, this would not be possible.
